Ian Quint graduated from McGill University before obtaining his law degree from York University in 2005. After being called to the New-York State Bar, Ian started working immediately in the real-estate business. Ian quickly obtained a General Contractor license and acted as a general contractor for the construction of all phases of Groupe Quint’s industrial, commercial, residential, office and hotel projects. He takes pride in building and managing properties to the highest standards in the industry. He wants to create the best space possible for companies to flourish and prosper.
Mélissa Boyer is Groupe Quint’s cofounder and executive director since 2015. She graduated from Concordia University as a biologist before attending the University of British Columbia to become a teacher. A few years later, she graduated from Simon Fraser University with a degree for using technology in the classroom. Having taught French, English, mathematics, and various pure and applied sciences subjects, she acquired extensive experience with a variety of administrative tasks. In 2012, she obtained an office administration certificate, the most recent diploma on her long list.
As a life-long learner, Melissa has been able to understand rapidly the real estate world and the construction industry in order to assist Ian Quint at the highest level. Melissa has gained considerable knowledge in the fields of leasing, marketing, due diligence work, construction budgeting, communication, advertising and office management. By delegating administrative tasks to Melissa, Ian Quint was able to focus on the rapid expansion of Groupe Quint. Melissa is now dedicated with the operation-side of Groupe Quint taking care of its properties and tenants with the amazing team of property managers and superintendents.
TERRI SAURO, CPA CA
Terri Sauro is Groupe Quint’s CFO since 2018. She is responsible for all aspects of finance, treasury, financial reporting and tax planning for the organization. She is also responsible for conceiving and implementing solutions for operational and organizational efficiencies and in providing structure to support the company’s rapid growth.
Terri is a native Montrealer and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University in 1982 and subsequently received her CPA designation from the Quebec CPA Order in 1984. Terri has an extensive career in real estate having previously held senior vice president positions at Kevlar Group, Nexacor Realty Management and has also held Director level positions at TrizecHahn and other major real estate companies where she was a key member of the management team.
GIL KASTNER, MBA, Licensed Real Estate Broker in Quebec, and New York
CHIEF LEASING DIRECTOR AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Gil Kastner is a veteran real estate professional with experience unlike many in his field. Has led real estate teams around the world, managing sales of over a billion USD while working in NYSE listed and privately owned corporations. He has sold pre, and post-crash fashion branded residential projects in the U.S. and overseas including Armani, Aman Resorts, and Intrawest.
In the commercial sector, he is experienced in capital market and leasing transactions, having managed the occupancy and leases for 6 million sq. ft. of institutional and privately owned office, retail, and industrial real estate classes. He created strategies and executed transactions building value for high quality as well as challenged properties. He has also served as a tenant representative in many commercial transactions.
Gil has created a unique brokerage training program for new and elite real estate brokers and teams, which he customizes for new project launch strategies. He has served on numerous real estate conference panels and is known and respected in the markets he serves.
VP DEVELOPMENT & CONSTRUCTION
Marc-André has more than 10 years’ experience in commercial real estate and project development. He joined officially Groupe Quint’s rank in 2018 after working with them since 2016 as an expert-consultant. He now drives all of Groupe Quint projects, from pre–development to construction.
Prior to joining Groupe Quint, Marc-André was an urbanist and development director with Harden Group from 2013 to 2016 until he founded his own consulting firm M-A.B Urbaniste Conseil.
Jeff is Groupe Quint’s VP Leasing since 2019. He has an impressive track sheet record having leased spaces in Quebec and Eastern Canada since 2008 to a variety of tenants.
Prior to joining Groupe Quint, Jeff has worked for Sandalwood Management, First Capital Realty and Riocan.
SENIOR PROPERTY MANAGER
Michael is Groupe Quint’s Senior Property Manager since 2015. He has more than 30 years’ experience in this field. He manages the day to day operation of Groupe Quint’s indoor malls including overseeing the leasing coordination, budgeting, tenant construction, marketing and public relations, security, maintenance, landscaping and janitorial.
Michael has managed several build outs of commercial lease spaces related to a variety of different commercial buildings. He also has experience in accounting, sales and leasing which helps him understand the different sides of the real estate business. Prior to joining Groupe Quint, Michael was a property manager/director for CarbonLeo-Oxford, DGI, Primaris Management and Ivanhoé Cambridge. Throughout his career, Michael has helped distressed properties completely turn around and become profitable. Michael holds a Bachelor in Accounting from Laval University and holds several certificates in shopping centers management, leasing, CSM designation, negotiation, retail tendencies and sales.
Simon is Groupe Quint’s Vice-President of Investments since 2020. His passion and creativity in the real estate investment industry has allowed him to develop an expertise in the acquisition of real-estate properties in fast-paced and challenging environments. Simon’s skills are perfect for Groupe Quint as he is able to detect great opportunities and structure complex acquisitions.
Prior to joining Groupe Quint, Simon worked for Werklive Group and Ivanhoe Cambridge. Simon holds a Bachelor in Commerce from McGill University.
CHEF SUPERINTENDENCE & RENOVATIONS
Sylvain is responsible for the supervision of all the superintendents assigned to the different properties managed by Groupe Quint. He is not only the one who always has the solution to any issue related to the maintenance of Groupe Quint’s properties, he is the one that can achieve miracles on construction sites, in the preparation of spaces for our new tenants, in expansion works of our industrial facilities and any other renovation project thrown at him! He has joined Groupe Quint early on in 2015 and is a key component in the success and the rise of the group.
Me Sarah Burke is Groupe Quint’s legal counsel. She is responsible for drafting and analyzing all the legal documents pertaining to Groupe Quint, from acquisition to leasing.
Sarah graduated from Ottawa University and worked at Karambatsos Law Firm before joining Groupe Quint in 2018.
Joyce Walsh is one of Groupe Quint’s Senior Property Manager. She has under her supervision Groupe Quint’s South-Shore of Montreal commercial buildings as well as the ones in the vicinity of Quebec City.
Joyce has worked for BTB REIT, Bentall-Kennedy, Canderel, Métivier Grassi before joining Groupe Quint in 2019.
Leo is Groupe Quint’s Senior Property Manager assigned to take care of Cornwall Square in Ontario for Groupe Quint.
CLAUDIA DE MINICO
Claudia is Groupe Quint’s legal counsel assigned to draft and analyze all the legal documents pertaining to Groupe Quint, from acquisition to leasing.
